DESCRIPTION Bromelain-5000, provided by Douglas Laboratories®, supplies 5,000 m.c.u (milk clotting units) per capsule. Milk clotting units are a unit of measure of enzymatic activity.

FUNCTIONS Bromelain is obtained from the lower stems of the pineapple plant. It is a proteolytic enzyme that supports healthy cytokine levels and regulatory balance in the body.† It reduces the production of less desirable prostaglandins by modulating the arachidonate cascade. Its enzymatic activity may provide comfort associated with joints. It may also thin nasal secretions and has been shown to be an effective enzyme to help regulate mucous production and the body’s response to environmental factors. †

INDICATIONS Bromelain-5000 may be a useful dietary adjunct for individuals wishing to supplement their diets with the proteolytic enzyme bromelain. 

SUGGESTED USE Adults take 1 capsule, 1-3 times daily between meals or as directed by a healthcare professional
