The patented proprietary blend Anandanol was created by Betul Hatipoglu, MD, a Staff member in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Cleveland Clinic's main campus, and Pharmacist Randolph Margrave.

Dr. Hatipoglu has a son with severe autism. Her desire for a natural and effective solution led her on a journey of discovery that she shared with Pharmacist Randy Margrave.
Her desire was a simple one; Find help for her son without sedation, side effects, or personality altering medications.
How does Anandanol work?
Balance between excitation and inhibition is delicately maintained in many parts of the brain. If the balance between inhibition and excitation among neurons is disturbed in favor of the excitatory glutamatergic pathways, the intensity of excitatory transmission may lead to adverse behavioral and neurological consequences.
Increased excitatory glutamatergic and decreased inhibitory GABAergic pathways in different parts of the brain may be, in an embodiment, explained by a dysfunctional endocannabinoid system. Stimulation of postsynaptic neurons may trigger the demand synthesis of endocannabinoids by an increase in intracellular calcium and/or stimulation of metabotropic receptors. Subsequently,
endocannabinoids may be released and may reach presynaptic CB1 Receptors retrogradely to modulate both inhibitory GABAergic system and excitatory glutamatergic transmissions through multiple mechanisms.
The proprietary blend, Anandanol, has an endocannabinoid agonist-antagonist effect to restore a balance between inhibitory GABAergic pathways and excitatory glutamatergic pathways, restoring this balance.
As such, Anandanol is suitable for oral administration and may be used to improve neurological function and/or behavioral symptoms.

Therapy and Homecare
His background in research motivated Randy to dig deeper into the discoveries that Dr. Hatipoglu had made. He quickly saw the benefit of Passiflora and began encapsulating an herbal blend based on the information Dr. Hatipoglu had given him.
The results were even better than expected.
